Frank Lewis Cline, Jr. passed away March 23, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 3, 1939 in Glendale, CA. to Frank L. Cline and Ivah Blodgett. His family moved to Panguitch, UT when he was 15 and he fell in love with the beautiful open country of Southern Utah, where adventure was only a horse-back ride away. After high school he joined the US Navy and in later years served in the US Army Reserve; being called to active duty during Desert Storm. He graduated from USU with a Master’s Degree in Education. He taught school in Davis County for many years. He also was a reserve police officer for Layton City.
He married Mary Lynne Hibler of Bountiful, UT. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Bountiful UT LDS Temple.
Frank found great enjoyment in doing genealogy and helping others find lost ancestors. He and his wife served a mission at the Family History Center in Salt Lake City and served as temple workers in the Bountiful Temple.
Frank is survived by his wife, Mary Lynne; children: Michael (Carolyn), Nampa, ID, Robert (Sydni), Kaysville, Katherine (Jeff) Charlesworth, West Haven, and Alicia, Bountiful; 12 grandchildren; 3 grandchildren-in-law; and 1 great-grandchild on the way; a brother, John (Karen), Bountiful; a niece and nephew and their families. Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, James Cline, and grandson, Noah Michael Cline.
Special thanks to nurses in same-day surgery at Lakeview Hospital for their kind and gentle care. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Bountiful Utah Central Stake Center, 640 South 750 East. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, March 27, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.
