Frank Gustave Lundquist of Salt Lake City Utah, devoted father, grandfather and friend completed his journey on October 3, 2006 from congestive heart failure and Alzheimer?s disease. Born in Wendell, Idaho Dec 12, 1919 to Carl and Agnes Lundquist, Swedish Immigrants. Raised in Salt City he attended Granite High and the University of Utah where he studied music. Served in the US Army on Normandy Beach during WWII. Worked 37 years with Franklin Laboratories, a veterinary supply company, as a Branch Manager. Once retired he worked for Harmon Grocery Stores for 10 years. He met his life?s partner Lura Leora Eggett. In 1947 they were joined as Husband and Wife in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Of his many callings Frank served in the Bishopric, was an avid fisherman, coach and mentor for many youth sports. Some of his other passions were his love for the Utah Jazz and playing his trumpet. As a member of the Salt Lake Post Office Band and Old English Band he performed in numerous parades and conventions including the annual Pioneer Days Parade. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Lura, Brother David, and Sister Lydia. He is survived by his children Linda and Terry Allen of Hollister, California, Frank and Roxanne Lundquist of Roy, Utah. His 8 grandchildren Kara and Anthony Crawford, Marty and Jenna Allen of Hollister, California, Justin and Jeremy Lundquist of Minnesota, Timothy Jenkins Lundquist and Marcella Louise Lundquist of Roy, Utah. His 3 Great Grandchildren Nicholas and Nathan Crawford and Saavedra Allen of Hollister, California. Our sincerest appreciations for wonderful care at Heritage Park Care Center of Roy, Utah. Also Hospice of Utah for the help and support of the family. Frank?s love was always family, for he was the care giver for his bride Lura in her long illness. He received his strength thru the love he had for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 9, 2006 at 11:00 am at Russon Brothers Mortuary 255 South 200 East, SLC Friends may call Sunday at Russon Brothers from 6 to 8 pm and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to the service.
