Frankie Brown

9/25/1949 ~ 2/16/2022

Our dear sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Frankie passed away peacefully the evening of February 16th of cancer.  She was the strongest, most determined person we have ever known, and she never complained about any pain.

Frankie was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah.  She graduated from Skyline High School and she also attended BYU, where she received a Master’s Degree in Athletic Training.  Throughout her life she excelled in sports.  She played for the Salt Lake County Shamrockettes as one of their pitchers.  As a family, we spent many days at the White Ballpark watching her play, and cheering her on.

She had many talents including playing the guitar and singing, and she had a voice that many envied.  We were blessed to get a video of her singing just a few weeks before she passed and her voice was still as pure and beautiful as it had always been.  Frankie was loyal and hardworking, which was proven by her working for the same company for 30+ years.

Frankie is survived by her cat Sodie Pop, her sisters Wendy Davis (Steve), Tracy Brown, Kelly Hicken (Paul), Troy Walker (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Ray Brown and Ellen Gwynn Brown.

We would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Welcome Home in Bountiful for making her last 8 months the best ever.  Thank you Jen at Cascade Springs Hospice and Chaplin Stephanie, for the love and care they so kindly provided to her. Also, Paul Hicken for everything he did for her.

A private family graveside service will be held at Wasatch Memorial Lawns in Salt Lake City.

Until we meet again, “we love you dearly, Frankie”.
