Fritz Paul Hubrich
Opa
Fritz Paul Hubrich returned home to his Heavenly Father on December 24, 2011 at 99 years of age. He left this earth holding the hand of his sweetheart of 76 years. Fritz was born in Deutch-Hammer, Germany on March 14, 1912. He met his wife Gerda at a L.D.S. church dance and was later baptized. Fritz was a faithful member of the L.D.S. Church and served as a Branch President in Germany for many years.
Fritz and Gerda sacrificed everything to escape war torn Germany in 1952, to ensure their family would enjoy the freedoms of America. Fritz truly lived the American dream. Fritz retired as a machinist from Eimco at 65 and the following years were the best of his life.
Fritz was happiest when he was outdoors. He loved to fish and hunt both mushrooms and wildlife. Fritz led a very active life. He enjoyed swimming, biking, bowling and even took up golf when he was 80 years old. Throughout Fritzs life, gardening was his greatest joy and he shared this joy by helping his friends and family plant their own gardens.
Fritz loved his family. His wife Gerda was his everything. Fritz has joined his son Dee and his granddaughter Trisha in heaven. Fritz leaves behind a legacy of 4 children, Ralph (Karren) Hubrich, Wynn (Bette) Hubrich, Gina (Kent) Ballard, and Ron (Laura) Hubrich, 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Wir lieben Dich Opa, auf Wiedersehen.
