Garrett Wayne Brown

On March 17th, 2023, Garrett Wayne Brown unexpectedly left his loving family and reunited with his mother, Cheryl Kay Brown, and father, Gerald Roger Brown. Garrett was born on December 8th, 1967. He was the second oldest of 7 boys.

Garrett grew up on his family farm in West Bountiful, Utah. He loved caring for the animals, roughhousing with his brothers, and playing cow-pie baseball with his family. He enjoyed serving the people of San Diego, California on his mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Garrett then attended Utah State University earning his Bachelor of Business degree, where he met his sweetheart, Trudi. They were married on June 5, 1993, and enjoyed 29 beautiful years together. They had four daughters whom Garret absolutely loved and adored.

The family went on lots of trips together, and Garrett loved spending time with his girls and wife. They enjoyed traveling, boating, or just playing games around the kitchen table. He accomplished his lifelong dream of owning his own business which afforded him the opportunity to get back to his roots, working on cars.

Garrett was a wonderful man who had a big heart. He was always looking for opportunities to serve his neighbors and you couldn’t walk past him without being dragged into a riveting and meaningful conversation.

He is survived by his loving wife, Trudi Lyn Brown, his four daughters: Alissa (Austin), Kylie, Lauren (Gabby), and Brooklyn; his 6 brothers, Clint (Amanda), Matt (Kay), Morgan (Chris), Bry (Liz), Jed, and Ben (Alison); and his pride and joy -- grandson Jaxon.

You left us far too soon, but we will always remember and cherish the memories you gave us. We love you.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the North Canyon Stake Center, 965 Oakwood Drive, Bountiful, Utah. An evening viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. A morning viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to services. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery.

Services will be streamed live on the Russon Mortuary & Crematory Facebook page and this obituary page. The live stream will begin 10-15 minutes prior to the services and will be posted below.
