Gary Jay Hatch, 54, returned home to his Father in Heaven on July 5, 2019.
Gary was born on August 1, 1964 to Dick and Renee Hatch in Salt Lake City, UT.
Gary attended Viewmont High School where he ran track and played football. He attended Dixie state college and Weber state where he majored in Business management and Finance. He later went on to get his teaching degree and Masters.
He met Tonya Morgan the summer of 1982 after graduating from high school. They dated long distance while he was away at college and continued dating the following year. They were married on June 28, 1985. They were later sealed in the Honolulu Hawaiian Temple. They had three children, which were all miracles. They were married 34 years.
Gary worked for Quaker State Q lube for a total of 22 years. He then went on to work for American Express and CR England. Gary then decided to further his education and became a teacher. He had a big impact on many students. He had such a determination to help his students to be successful. He had a true passion for teaching.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held various positions in the church but his favorite was teaching primary children.
Gary had many hobbies. He loved sports. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team (Miami Dolphins), coaching Soccer and working outside in the yard. He loved deer hunting, fishing, camping and 4 wheeling. He had a great love of the outdoors. His favorite place to go was Fish Lake, which he called “God’s Country”. He loved listening to country music, especially Chris Ledoux and Blake Shelton.
He loved his family more than anything. He will be greatly missed!
He is survived by his wife Tonya Morgan Hatch, his children, Keaton Jay, Kortland Bryant married to (Ashlee Reed) and Calli. He is also survived by his parents, Dick Claud and Carolyn Renee Hatch, sisters Heather (the late Ronnie Robinson), Kim (Stacey). He is also survived by his in-laws Portia Andrus Morgan (the late Ronald S. Morgan), brother-in-law Jaren Morgan (Tammy), sisters Cindie Morgan, Cami Sano (AJ), and Lori Hale (Mike).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Russon Mortuary, 1941 North Main St., Farmington, UT at 11:00 a.m.
