Gary Jon Grevstad

Gary Jon Grevstad, the only son of Anton A Grevstad and Lilly Eleanor Mikkelsen Grevstad, was born on 19 September 1940 at Samuel Merritt Hospital, Oakland, California, lived in Piedmont, California and graduated from Piedmont High School. He attended BYU with his friends from California where he joined the LDS Church and was baptized before Christmas! 

Before graduating from BYU, he joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve.  He married Suzanne Gregory on 25 August 1961 in the Los Angeles Temple.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from BYU leading to a career as a computer software QA Engineer with IBM, The LDS Church, Salt Lake City, Sperry/Unysis, TRW, and H.P.

He is the father of 5 daughters and 2 sons and has been blessed with 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with more to come. He leaves a legacy of being a devoted husband, father, and patriarch to his family, possessing a love of the gospel and joy in church service that will last forever.

He passed away on 17 October 2015, surrounded by his family, in Bountiful, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct 22, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bountiful 5th Ward, 990 North 100 West, Bountiful, Utah.  Friends and family may visit between 11:45 a.m. -12:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
