Gary Rushton

Biography

Gary Gene Rushton born July 5, 1941 in Salt Lake City, UT returned to his Heavenly Father on December 28, 2013. Gary was the son of Charles and Vay Rushton. He married Kaylene Taylor on June 19, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they raised their four children in Bountiful. Gary served faithfully for the LDS church holding many callings in Bishoprics, High Priest Group, Elders Quorum and Young Men’s presidencies. Gary fell in love with Hawaii when he was called to serve a mission to Honolulu Hawaii. His greatest treasure was his family and loved going on family trips, attending sporting events, and watching his grandchildren participate in sporting events or performances.
He is survived by his wife, and children Stephanie McIntosh (Matthew), Ryan (Shaunie), Devin (Tiffanie) and Jason (Lisa), his fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren, his sisters Robin Lee Long, Ann Rushton and brother Terry Lynn Rushton. Gary was kind to all he met. He always thought of others needs before his own and had such a positive attitude about life. He had incredible patience and never complained about his struggles in life.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 3rd at the Bountiful LDS church at 115 East Wicker Ln. Friends and family may visit Thursday between 6:00-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 North Main St Bountiful or Friday 9:45-10:45 am at the church. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.

Friends and family may visit Thursday between 6:00-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 North Main St Bountiful or Friday 9:45-10:45 am at the church. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
