George Albert Fordham (62), born 6 September 1957, passed away quickly and unexpectedly on 21 December 2019 at Lakeview Hospital. George was raised in Bountiful Utah. He was the only son of LaMar and Dorothy Fordham and brother to 6 sisters which qualifies him for sainthood. George loved God, his Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved to read the scriptures. He greatly treasured the value of the book of Proverbs. As George would say: “I wouldn’t trade the wisdom learned therein for anything the world could give.”
George had a very strong work ethic and sometimes didn’t know when to stop. He went to work one day with appendicitis and ended up in the hospital a few hours later having an appendectomy.
George was one of the most giving and forgiving people on earth. He always went about doing good. George loved the Lord with all his heart and continually emulated Christlike attributes such as faith, humility, charity, patience and many more. He was always willing to lend a listening ear, was non-judgmental and accepting of all.
George found joy in the little things in life and loved semi-trucks, country music, concerts and the T.V. shows “Alf” and “Seinfeld”. He enjoyed making memories and spending time with his family.
George is preceded in death by his father, LaMar Fordham, whom he missed daily. He is survived by his dear mother, Dorothy Ashman Fordham, his sisters: Chris (Bob) Mooney, Lynette Robison, Leslie (Bob) Lund, Roslyn (Rick) Jensen, Rosalie (Mark) Lee, Virginia (Tim) Compton. He will also be missed by his work family, friends, and many nieces and nephews who loved him.
His family expresses gratitude to the medical professionals who recently cared for him.
Memorial services have been entrusted to Russon Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lakeview Hospital, in George’s name, to assist with medical expenses.
