George Clinton Jackson passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2017, just 5 weeks from his 100th birthday. He was born on June 6, 2017 in Plano, Idaho to George Housley and Josephine Jane Hemsley Jackson. He married Zelda Heileson in the SLC Temple on June 24, 1940. Their oldest son, George "Judd" Clinton Jackson Jr. was born nine months later. Nearly four years later they had a daughter Marilyn (Scott) Holje, followed by another son, Douglas Clarke, then in 1956, another daughter, Linda Rae Jackson (DePew) was born. He and his wife adopted a granddaughter, Heather Ann Jackson (DePew) Serrato when she was 7. He was known by neighbors and fellow workers as George, and as Clint by family members. He had excellent skills and became a mechanic in his younger years as he couldn’t afford to finish college to become a surgeon as he had planned. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Rose Park 9th Ward 760 N. 1200 W. on Saturday, May 6, 2017 with a viewing from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. Interment at the Plano Cemetery, Rexburg, Idaho.
