George David Sparenberg
December 26,1957 to March 25, 2021
Our beloved David passed away unexpectedly March 25, 2021 and left us all too soon with unspoken words and broken hearts. Dave, the fact that you have so many loved ones on the other side is the only comfort that we will get until we see you again.
Dave was born in Alamosa Colorado and was the last of 10 children, 5 boys and 5 girls. After a divorce Dave’s single mother moved to Layton Utah with all 10 children. At the age of 6 Davey was adopted by Mic and Alice Sparenberg in Bountiful where he gained his forever sister Debbie. Dave grew up playing sports especially baseball. He loved to camp and fish with Dad and he loved to watch sports on TV with mom. He loved to laugh with his daughter Amanda, Debbie and his two nephews Eric and Sean.
Dave was a Bountiful boy all his life with the exception of some years in Grand Junction during high school, Las Vegas in his twenties, and Park City in his thirties.
In Dave’s 30’s he reunited with his biological mother, brothers and sisters, who never gave up on the search for him. They had many happy times together.
At a young age Dave fell in love with Lynette Johnson and that union blessed him with a daughter Amanda who he cherished and bragged about all the time. David adored his daughter and she adored him. Amanda’s message to dad is, “Dad, now I can do your Temple work that I always talked to you about”.
In 1981 Dave married the love of his life Suzanne Puente and they resided in Las Vegas together. They were blessed with daughter Gena Elizabeth Sparenberg. Baby Gena passed away at 9 months old. Suzy and David later divorced but remained friends for life.
Dave, we will all miss your Truck Driving stories and your funny sense of humor. We love you so much. Please visit us in our dreams and we will hold memories of you in our hearts.
