George Allen Hibler, cherished father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2024, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Born on March 4, 1940, in Salt Lake City, Allen lived a life marked by dedication, love, and a deep connection to his community.
Allen was a respected dentist who spent over 30 years caring for his patients with precision, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to service. Known for his generosity, George often provided dental care to those in the community who could not afford it, ensuring that everyone received the help they needed, regardless of their circumstances. His gentle touch and dedication to serving others earned him the trust and admiration of all who knew him.Service was at the heart of everything Allen did. Whether volunteering his time at local charities, offering a helping hand to neighbors, or simply being there for his family, Allen's life was a testament to his deep sense of responsibility and care for others.
In addition to his professional and community service, Allen was known for his artistic spirit, expressing his creativity through photography, sculpture, and his beautifully maintained yard. His art touched those who experienced it, leaving a lasting impression with each photograph, sculpture, or garden he created. Whether capturing a stunning landscape, crafting a meaningful sculpture, or designing his garden, Allen's artistry was evident in every aspect of his life.
He is survived by his children, David and Hope Hibler of Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Liz and Joe Phillips of Blackfoot, Idaho; Mark and Becci Hibler of West Jordan, Utah; and Tricia and Chris Carson of San Tan Valley, Arizona. He is also survived by his sister MaryLynn Cline, nephews Michael and Robert Cline and nieces, Katherine and Alicia Cline, 24 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Allen was predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth Hibler.
A memorial service to celebrate Allen’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2024 at the Kimball Mill Ward, 650 South 200 East, Bountiful, UT. A viewing for family and friends will be held Thursday, Sept 12, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah and again Friday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Addicts to Athletes in Allen's honor.
Allen's generosity, and the legacy he leaves as a dedicated dentist, accomplished artist, and a man deeply committed to serving his community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
