George Wall

Biography

George Andrew Wall was born June 7, 1955 to Donna and Andrew Wall of Pleasant Grove, Utah. George was the fifth of seven children: Paula (Jackson), Kathy (Robertson), Scott, David, Rebecca (Strupp) and Annette (Sorenson). He served faithfully in the Bolivia, La Paz mission. George met and married Ann Kristin Wright in 1981 and together they had four children: Nicole, Olivia, Vanessa (Josh), and Daniel. He was the beloved “Bumpa” to three beautiful granddaughters: Isabella, Mikaela and Lacie. George served faithfully in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in many capacities including scoutmaster and bishop of the Orchard 6th ward of the Orchard, Utah Stake. George was the Vice President of Insurance for Wells Fargo. He lived a life marked by kindness, selfless service and thoughtful speech and actions.
George loved his family. Ann was truly his sweetheart through their 31 years of marriage and he treated her with great care, respect and love. He was always very involved in his children’s lives and sought opportunities for one-on-one interactions and conversations. Many days were spent out of doors as a family- hiking, camping and fishing.
George loved the gospel. His quiet example of faithfulness and diligence touched all who knew him. He could be found studying his scriptures in the stillness of the early morning before the beginning of his busy days. He served and loved all in his various stewardships and they loved him in return. His testimony remained unwavering and his great faith was a comfort to both he and his family.
After a two year battle with pancreatic cancer, George was welcomed back to his Heavenly Father’s presence on February 16th, 2013. He is predeceased by his mother Donna, sister Annette and daughter Olivia. His work of love and service now continues on the other side of the veil. All who know him are better for their association with him, and look forward to a great reunion once again.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the Orchard 6th Ward Chapel, 3501 South Orchard Drive, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Saturday morning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. A viewing will be held Friday evening 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Saturday morning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
