George Walter Muir 1938-2015

George Walter Muir born on February 17, 1938 in Salt Lake City passed away in his sleep November 30, 2015 in his family home. George was known for his generosity. Regardless of what you needed, whether that be new dishes or vegetables from his garden. He loved to help and give whatever he could, and that always included an ice cold beer in the garage. George spent the majority of his life working as a self-employed electrician. Always teasing and cracking jokes George loved to visit and tell stories with those he loved.

George was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Lucile Muir, sisters Melba Benzon and Carma Muir, and brother-in-law Jerry Bingham. As well as by his true love Sydney Cook. He is survived by his children Kevin Muir (wife Kimberlee), Mike Muir (wife Kristy), Jeff Muir, Ken Drachman (wife Annette), Kristy Woodruff (husband Steve), 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren, one great grandchild and one great great grandchild on the way and siblings Linda Bingham, Joan Marchant (husband Richard), Carl Muir (wife Gladys), and Ron Muir (wife Colleen).

Services will be held Tuesday December 8, 2015 at The Garden Center, 1602 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84106. Starting at 11:00 am. Followed by a graveside dedication at the Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010 starting at 1:30 pm. Both Georges ashes and those of his love Sydney will be laid to rest together.
