Georgia passed away with her family by her side on June 30, 2024 at the age of 83. While she will be greatly missed by her family and friends, she is now at peace after living a long yet fulfilling life.Georgia was born on July 27, 1940 in Preston, Idaho to George and Fahn Bennett. She was the third of six children. Her family moved to Salt Lake when she was eight years old where she graduated from Granite high school and she eventually settled in Bountiful where she lived for 50 years. Georgia was an amazing cook and many family members will remember her famous brownies she would bring to family functions. Along with cooking Georgia also crocheted many beautiful things. Georgia loved capturing moments in time, by taking photos and putting together family albums. Georgia worked for various companies throughout the years dealing with accounting in different office work. Georgia was a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints and would partake in many activities involving the church. She read her scriptures daily and lived a Christ like life. Georgia had a huge heart and much love for all her nieces and nephews, her home was always open and safe haven for anyone in the family when they really needed (which was quite frequent.)Georgia married Steve Longmore, the one and only love of her life on April 21, 1967 and they were sealed in the Bountiful Temple on April 21, 2017 on their 50th wedding anniversary. Georgia and Steve were dedicated to each other for 56 years. Georgia adored children and wanted one of her own and after trying for many years she was finally blessed with a child, Ryan, whom she loved dearly. Georgia is survived by her son Ryan (Kat), her 4 grandchildren, her sister Jeanine Moore (Jack) and her brother Ray Bennett (Elda). Georgia was proceeded in death by her loving husband Steve Longmore, her mother Fahn Wells Bennett, her father George Bennett, her brother Keith Bennett and her sisters EuAnna Nuttall and LuDawn Thomas. While our heart said she’s no longer with us, in her final months of life after her husbands passing all she longed for was to be with him eternally, now she is home with him again, forever.
