I have lived a wonderful, full, good life. I was born May 20, 1923, along with my identical twin sister June, in Salt Lake County to Camilla Evans and William Riley Wood. I grew up on Second West in Salt Lake in a large house with my 8 brothers and sisters. I attended West High and LDS Business College. I Married Don Campbell in 1941, later divorced. I spent most of the next twenty years raising my four boys in the Rose Park area and working for Eimco Corporation as a secretary. I married Allan T. Burwell on March 19, 1966. In 1969 we moved to Farmington to my little rock house. These were some of the best years of my life including being sealed to Allan in the Ogden Temple on June 24, 1975. Allan passed away June 28, 1981. The little rock house and Farmington were my dream come true. It is where I spent a great amount of time with my grandchildren teaching them about gardening and flowers; it is also where I wrote my book about my critters. During this time I served my mission in Adelaide Australia, I did Temple work at the Bountiful Temple and I held numerous leadership positions in the church. I was a member of the Literary Guild and the South Davis Garden Club, and I received many awards at the annual home and garden show for my floral and table arrangements.
I spent my final years at Heritage Place Retirement Home in Bountiful, where I made many many new friends – I loved my family, my church, and the gospel. I look forward to being reunited with all those who have passed before me.
