Geraldine Chandler Reeder

Geraldine “Jeri” Chandler Reeder passed peacefully on July 13, 2023 at the age of 92.
She was born on March 22, 1931 and was the daughter of Harvey Leland and Margaret Shaw Chandler.  
She attended Weber State College and received a 2 year certificate. She then worked at The Army Depot on 2nd Street in Ogden, Utah. While working she met the love of her life and married Robert Glen Reeder on November 24, 1954, at Bertha Eccles Hall in  Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Bountiful Utah Temple. They made their home in Bountiful, Utah.
 Jeri worked for ZCMI for over 20 years in their drapery department. She made beautiful drapes and often made drapes for family and friends. Her hobbies were sewing, cooking and crocheting. She also loved bowling and bowled on different teams for many years. One year her team took 1st place. 
Her friend Beverly McColley started a club with her friends in 1950. These friends had known each other all through school. There were 12 of them and they would meet once a month for dinner, each taking a turn to host.  She always looked forward to this each month. 
She was also a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for many years. 
She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and traveling. The most memorable times were family trips to Bear Lake and Yellowstone National Park.
She is survived by her sister Shauna (James) Flinders, three children, sons Richard (Joan’l) Reeder, Michael (Kathy) Reeder, daughter Debra (Steven) Andresen, 15 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Glen Reeder, parents, brothers Bruce and William Chandler, daughter Linda Reeder Tincher, and daughter-in-law Wendy Davis Reeder.
The Family would like to thank Sandstone North Park for the wonderful care and love their mother received while she was there.
Funeral services will be held  at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 20, 2023 at Russon Mortuary, 295 N Main Street, Bountiful, UT., where a viewing will be held from 8:45-9:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
