Gerold Wayne Pratt (Nov 29, 1942 – February 29, 2016) passed away peacefully after collapsing from sudden heart failure. He is survived by his wife of nearly 52 years (Judith Ann Peterson), sisters Lee (Blaine-deceased) Bennett and Nancy (Richard) Condie, six sons: David "Wayne" (Rita), John (Jennifer), Philip (Candice), Gerold "Mike" (Alisa), Kenny (Saranya), Joseph "Alan" (Amy), 23 Grandchildren, 1 Great granddaughter, and lifelong friend Mike Adams.
Gerry graduated from Pocatello High School in 1961 and served in the Southwest British LDS Mission. He was a graduate from the University of Utah with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He retired as a Chemical Engineer in 2014 after nearly 40 years, with the last 13 from AeroJet as a Sr. Chemical Engineer. He enjoyed traveling around the world with his wife and grandchildren. He was proud of all his children's accomplishments and successes. Three of his sons were inspired to follow in his footsteps as Chemical Engineers. He was currently working as a temple worker in the Bountiful Temple. He passed on a great legacy of strong family values, integrity, and his testimony of the Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to his children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2016 at the Bountiful 53rd Ward Chapel, 1365 North 650 East, where a viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to services.
