Biography

Gilbert Stanley Jensen, 87, passed away April 12, 2013 in Bountiful, Utah of a lingering illness. Born March 12, 1926 in Malad, Idaho to Gilbert Edward and Dorothy Stone Jensen. Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After graduation from high school Stan went to work for the Southern Pacific Railroad in Ogden, Utah. Stan was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II, spending all of his time in the Pacific Theater. After returning home he worked for the Westinghouse Corporation for 33 years. Stan married Maren Lynn Biggs on October 3, 1969 in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, July 18, 1986.
Stan is survived by his wife, Maren Jensen; son, Kevin Lee and his wife Cindy Lee Jensen; 2 step-granddaughters, Mandy (Scott) Munden and Brindy Solomon (Wes Bates); and 1 step -great-granddaughter Karlee Munden.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at the Bountiful 12th Ward, 1475 North 300 West, under the direction of Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. prior to services
