On Nov. 14, 2014 Gilda Willis, of Layton, Utah, was surrounded by her loved ones as she quietly passed away. Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, successful business woman, & faithful disciple of the Savior, Gilda’s life will forever serve as a shining example of the power of love, faith, and devotion in the face of adversity. All who knew her admired her, and all who knew her well desired to emulate her. Preceded in death by her father and mother, Earle and Lillian Davis of Harkers Island, NC, husband, Morton, son, Ronnie, and sister, Bert.
Survived by her brother, Charles Davis of Burke, VA; son, Corey Willis (Lisa); grandchildren: Brett Willis (Natalie), Dane Willis (Marlene), Leia Perkins (Kevin), Clytie Kovacs (Jeremy), Van Willis (Katie), Jenelle Reed (Chris); and 21 great-grandchildren-all faithful and strengthened by her testimony that this life is but a stepping-stone in a glorious journey, destined to be reunited through the power of Christ’s love and the peaceful promise of sealing covenants.
Services: Wed. Nov. 19, at 11:00 am, Oak Forest Ward Chapel, 2250 E 2200 N, Layton, UT. Viewing prior, beginning at 9:45. Interment: Harkers Island, NC.
