Gill Hatch Boynton passed away on January 6 th , 2024, at his home in Bountiful Utah from natural causes. Born February 19,1948 Gill was raised at the little yellow house on the corner of 1500 South and Orchard Drive, when Orchard drive was a small 2 lane road.
Gill passed away after a long and fulfilling career as a Structural Designer for Ford, Bacon, and Davis (or FLSmidth). During his 40 plus years as a designer Gill took pride in his designs used in many Utah constructions. He also used his skills for the building of the family cabin, the extension of his parents’ house and when he built his first home up the street from where he was raised. Gill purchased a second home in Hawaii where he spent nearly every winter, soaking in the sun, relaxing and entertaining visitors.
Gill loved telling stories about his youth and had more stories to tell than ears to listen.
Deep appreciation is extended to the home health care system, hospice providers and his closest niece, Afton Paul, for the many years of service during his last few years.
Gill is survived by his 3 brothers Alan, Dean and John Boynton and their families. Gill is preceded in death by both parents Janice Hatch and Calvin Abraham Boynton.
