Gina Marie Cristaudo McConkie

October 15, 1955 — February 29, 2016

KAYSVILLE Gina Marie Cristaudo McConkie, 60, stepped through a door to the Spirit World on February 29, 2016. She humbly thanks you for your influence and the multitude of kindnesses you have shown to her and to her family, and she looks forward to a happy reunion with each of you. If her neglect or thoughtlessness has brought you sorrow, she meekly asks your forgiveness.

Gina was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 15 October 1955, to an unwed teenager who bravely chose adoption for her new baby. Gina lived much of her mortal life in Davis County, Utah, with her sweetheart, Michael Merrill McConkie. She will be most remembered for their amazing children who she will always love and who continue to bring her daily joy.

The thousands of happy memories she experienced in her adult life can be traced back to two decisions: 1) reading the Book of Mormon and being baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; and, 2) being sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to Michael.  These two paths opened a floodgate of blessings and joy that can’t be measured. The trials placed on her shoulders were miraculously eased and it is her desire to stand as a witness that the Lord God does visit his people in their afflictions as well as in their joy.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Florine Cristaudo; parents-in-law Beth and Brit McConkie; and infant siblings. She is survived by her remarkable spouse, Michael; children, Michael (Tawnya), Matthew (Nicole), Beth (Flint) Barber, Nathan (Shannon), Sarah, Becky (Nathan) Hendriksen, Mark (Sarah); brother, Dave (Mary) Cristaudo; sisters-and-brothers-in-law, Bonnie (Stewart) Wright, Brit (Janet), David (JoAnne), Richard (Julene), John (Leslie), Julie, Paul (Lynn); 21 treasured grandchildren; 33 nieces & nephews.

Viewing will be on Friday, March 4th at the Russon Brothers Mortuary at 295 N. Main St Bountiful, UT 84010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.  Funeral will be held Saturday, March 5th at 11:00 a.m. the Quail Crossing Ward, 2230 S. 350 E. Kaysville, UT 84037, with a viewing prior to the services from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Kaysville City Cemetery.
