Gladys Sollis Waite

Gladys Louise Sollis Waite, passed away Friday, October 20, 2006 in Bountiful, Utah. She was born December 7, 1920 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the 11th child of William and Eliza Webb Sollis. Married Letho S. Waite on November 9, 1937. They had two daughters, Connie David Worthen and Vicky Jack Johnston. Gladys was a self-taught seamstress. She kept her daughters in new dresses for every occasion. She loved to travel, and take cruises, especially to Hawaii. Gladys is survived by her daughters; 3 granddaughters and 4 grandsons; 6 step-grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and 10 siblings. Funeral services will be held Monday, October 23, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where friends and family may call Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday 12:45 – 1:45 pm prior to services.
