Glen L. Clark, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2012 and was reunited with his wife of 68 years. Glen was born on June 24, 1923 to Frank and Hazel Clark. Glen grew up in Tabiona, Utah with his sister Marge.
Glen married the love of his life Elma Wright on Aug. 23, 1943 in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Tabiona and raised three daughters. In 1988 they moved to West Bountiful to be closer to their family.
Glen served his country in World War II where he was awarded sharp-shooting medals and a Purple Heart. He was proud of his service and loved this Country. Glen worked in the construction industry for many years and then worked for the State of Utah Highway Dept. But for Glen he was always a farmer whether it was on his 160 acre farm in Utahn or his “BIG” garden in West Bountiful. He loved working the land and sharing his vegetables with neighbors and family. Glen always loved to talk about his many hunting and fishing trips.
Glen loved his grand and great grand children and his adopted neighbor kids. Spending the day with Grandpa was a real treat as he would let you do almost anything. Glen worked hard his whole life and always made sure his family had what they needed and more. If you had a problem he was always your first call because he always knew what to do.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister and daughter, Glenda. He is survived by his two daughters Beverly (Floyd), LuAnn (Craig); and his four grandchildren – Travis, Kelly (Angie), Clark and Julie and his five great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Inn at Barton Creek and South Davis Hospice for their loving care.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Heber City Cemetery, 700 North 600 East. A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful.
