Glen Ray Hogge

Glen Ray Hogge was born on September 24, 1933, and passed away surrounded by family on February 20, 2025. He was born in Malad, Idaho, to Ray A. Hogge and Fern Evans. Heattended school in West Weber and Ogden, Utah, and graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in marketing in 1957.

He married Joan Standing on September 19, 1956, in the Salt Lake Temple. He worked inmanagement at JCPenney and ZCMI and retired in 1999. He served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1955 at the naval air station in Atsugi, Japan.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in the Aaronic Priesthood, Sunday School, Primary, Elders Quorum, High Priest group, as well as a Scoutmaster, Bishop, counselor to a Bishop, High Council member, and as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful Temple. He was also a counselor in a branch presidency and a counselor in a young adult ward. He enjoyed working with the youth.

He is survived by his wife, Joan, of 68 years; son, Daren Glen (Lisa); daughters, Jan Winborg(Brad), Shelli Glines (Troy), and Andrea Trent (Dennis). He had eight grandsons: Tyler, Austin, Blake, and Dylan (Hogge); Skyler (Winborg); Chase and Keaton (Goble); and Connor Trent; two granddaughters: Chelsea Harman and Kailee Tribe; and 15 great-grandchildren. Also, sisters Sharon Deamer (Gary), Colleen Jorgensen (Frank) and Brother-in-law Benjamin Standing (Gloria)

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Amber Thompson, and his parents Ray A.Hogge and Fern Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday February 27, 2025, at the Bountiful East Stake Center, 650 East 2150 South, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday evening at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, Utah from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again Thursday morning 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the church prior to services.Interment will take place at West Weber Cemetery.
