Glenn C. Davis

March 25, 1931 — April 1, 2017

Glenn C. Davis, 86, passed away peacefully  April 1, 2017.  He was born in Vernal, Utah to  Mary Elva Eaton and Carl Garrett Davis.  Glenn was the 2nd of 4 children, and the only boy. 

Glenn enjoyed  serving as Student Body President of Provo High School  class of 1948-49.  He was an avid bass player and performed in several bands and orchestras.  After serving an LDS mission in the East Central states and attending BYU, he was working as a Gear Jammer in the National Parks.  While working in Zion, Connie and Glenn met on the 24 of July 1953. They were sealed in the Logan Temple December 27th, 1957.  Both graduated from BYU.  Glenn received a Masters Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana.

Glenn was commissioned 1st Lieutenant and went through flight training at Laredo, Texas graduating first in his class.  He was stationed at Nellis AFB as an Information Officer.

After discharge from the USAF, Glenn had a long and successful career in Advertising and Sales.  Glenn participated in many sports and enjoyed boating with the family at Lake Powell.  A lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Glenn served willingly and well and touched the lives of many people.  Glenn and Connie raised six wonderful children.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Connie; their children Sheri (Fred) Perkins; Robert (Jenni) Davis, Bill (Laura) Davis, Phil (Lisa) Davis, Mike (Cheryl) Davis, and Carolyn Davis; 30 grandchildren, and fifteen great grandchildren and sister Karen (Ken) Glover.   He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elva; sisters, Joye and Dorothy; daughter-in-law Melissa; and a grandson Jon.

Special thanks to the staff and professionals at Heritage Park Care Center and the Salt Lake VA hospital.

A viistation will be held on Friday, April 7th at 11:00 am -12:30 with the funeral service at 1pm in the Bountiful 25th Ward Chapel (1500 S 600 E).  Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery.
