Gloria Foust-Salter

November 20, 1944 — April 3, 2014

Mountain Green- It is with a heavy heart that we had to let one of the strongest women in the world go. Gloria Lee Foust Salter was born to the late Joseph Woodrow Foust & Leona Ferne Hanson in Provo along with her siblings. They later moved to Bountiful where she spent most of her childhood with her family. She graduated from Bountiful High School in 1963 where she also met the love of her life Grant Edward Salter and married in 1964. Gloria was a dedicated, driven and successful business woman who couldn’t take no for an answer. She worked for Carpenter Paper prior to moving to Browning Firearms where she retired from after 17 amazing years. Grant and Gloria were blessed with one daughter Cherie Kaye. Gloria was survived by her loving and doting husband of 50 years, the last 40 of them spent together in Mountain Green in a beautiful home that they built together. She is also survived by her daughter Cherie Kaye Carter (Mike) of Kaysville, two granddaughters Nicole Kay Hess-Ames (Ty) of Syracuse and Krishna Lynn Salmon (Marcus) of Centerville, and Jon Hess of Farmington. She also has four great-grandsons who were the joy of her life, Colter, Jace, Grant, and Cayden. One brother Jim (Joan) Foust of South Jordan, and one sister Connie Bruschke of Centerville.
She has now rejoined her parents, Woody and Leona Foust, sister Joanna, an Uncle Ronnie and of course many other amazing people.
We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to Gamma West Radiation, Utah Hematology Oncology and of course the amazing staff at Ogden Regional Intermediate Care Unit, especially three amazing nurses Melanie, Tiffany, and Serena, not only did you do your job but you went above and beyond to make Gloria and her family feel better!
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 9th, 2014 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, Utah, where friends and family may call from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday and again on Wednesday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
