Gloria Mazie Lee

Gloria Mazie Lee passed peacefully into the next life on June 6, 2015 from her home in Bountiful, six days after her 81st birthday. Mazie was born May 31, 1934 in Escalante, Utah, the daughter of John Roy Lee and Ella May Allen Lee. She grew up among friends in Escalante, but the family moved to Sandy where Mazie graduated from Jordan High School and went on to Utah State University. She relocated to Saint George where she lived from 1985 to 2010. She moved to Bountiful to be closer to family members. Mazie never married, but acted as a surrogate mother to her nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is survived by nieces Barbara Jean Cocuzza, Doralee Dickson, Trisha Lee, Laurie Burt and nephews Michael Ivie, James Ivie, Paul Thomas and Michael Thomas.
A family memorial service will be held in Escalante in coming months where she will be laid to rest.
