Gloria Smedley Ray

Our beloved mother of 92 was re-united with dad on May 6th, 2017.  'Glo'; as her friends knew her, relished in helping those who could not help themselves. She loved family, hot summer days, the outdoors, and gardening.  She was born March 16, 1925 to Ernest & Laura Smedley.  She married Edmond Ray of So. Weber. She and dad built their home in Centerville where she lived until her death.  She had several brothers, sisters, and cousins who have all passed on before her; "the last leaf on the tree" as she referred.  She is survived by her 2 sons, several grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins she loved very much.  
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at the Centerville 3rd Ward, 900 S. 400 E., Centerville, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6-8pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful and Saturday morning 9:30 – 10:30 am at the church prior to services. In-lieu of flowers, mom requested you do something nice for someone else.
