Gordon Gregory Griffith Greene

Gordon Gregory Griffith Greene (48) unexpectedly parted this life on Monday, May 1, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to the care of his Heavenly Father, departed family members and friends. We are comforted by the knowledge that we will see our son, brother, husband, father and grandfather again.

Greg was born on January 30, 1969 in Bountiful, Utah to William Ellis and Joyce Arlene Shoemaker Greene. Greg attended Hannah Holbrook Elementary, then moved to Ojai, CA, where he attended Jr. High and High School and was a member of the basketball team.

He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Utah Jazz fan.  He loved to watch and support his children in rugby and basketball.  

Greg was united in marriage to (Iris) Heidi Kunzler, on June 11, 2011. Throughout their married life, they lived in South Jordan and Bountiful, Utah.  Greg worked as Master Electrician, most recently employed as a Foreman and Trainer with JP Electric.  He was loved and respected by all who worked with him and felt his positive influence in their lives.

His memory will forever be cherished in the lives of his 4 children, Dayna (Aaron) Allred of Taos, NM; Derek (Savannah) Mentzer of Trenton, GA; Kyler (Loren) Greene of Kearns, UT; Alexa Greene of Bountiful, UT; 4 grandchildren, and by his brothers Mike (Roxanne) Greene of West Bountiful, UT; Bill Greene of Kingston, WA;  Kirk Greene of Centerville, UT; and sisters Marilyn Kehl of Heber, UT;  and Shelley (Kelly) Downs of Mountain Green, UT.  He was preceded in death by his father, William Greene, and grandparents.

A Memorial Picnic and Celebration of Life will be held in Greg's honor on Saturday, May 6, at 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Tolman "Rocket" Park located at 100 North 1300 East, Bountiful, UT.  Friends and Family are invited to bring a salad or dessert item to share.   

The family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors and staff at LDS Hospital who treated and cared for Greg in his final hours.  Much appreciation also to Greg's work family, JP Electric, for their love and support.
