Gordon Lee

November 19, 1939 — July 28, 2018

Larry Gordon Lee passed away on July 28, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.  He was born Nov. 19, 1939 in Kanosh, Utah to Ray and Norma Lee.  He met and later married the love of his life Carol LaBelle for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple on Aug 9, 1963.  Together they had 5 beautiful children and established their foundation and lives in Centerville, Utah.

Gordon's life exemplified a love for his Heavenly Father, the Savior and the Gospel Plan of Salvation.  He will be most remembered for his unconditional love, never-ending service to family, his tireless work ethic, devotion to our Heavenly Father, time spent supporting his children's endeavors, and playing with his grandkids.  His devotion to and time spent with his children and grandchildren are the greatest gifts and example he could have rendered in their behalf.

Gordon possessed so many talents and gifts, but among his greatest and most influential were his efforts and ability to make those around him feel loved, feel important, and feel happy.  His kindness, caring demeanor and influence for good have left an inspiring legacy for each of his family members to strive for.

Gordon had a great enthusiasm and passion for the game of football.  He played at the University of Utah from 1959-1963, where he was a team captain, and a member of the academic all conference team.  After his playing days were over, he followed his passion for football and coached at the University of Utah and University of Iowa.

Gordon left behind a true legacy of love and service.  He always placed the needs of his sweet wife "Keeko", his children and grandchildren first above anything else.  During the final hours of Gordon's life, his family gathered beside his bed, and shared tender feelings of love and gratitude for the man who has changed their lives forever.  Tears of joy were shed for the life Gordon lived and the blessing that is theirs to call him sweetheart, Dad and Grandpa.  Gordon has left an indelible impression on all of our hearts and minds forever.  Truly a legacy of love, selfless service, and faithful discipleship.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol "Keeko"; his adoring children, Doug (Jan) Lee, Lori Lee, Juliann (Kelly) Bland, Kerri (Case) Lawrence, and Jeff (Lisanne) Lee;
19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Eldon (Tina) Lee; sisters Kristi (Dave) Anderson and Norma Leiter; loving nieces, nephews and a host of long time friends.

His parents Ray and Norma Lee precede him in death.
