Grace Irene Williams Stefan passed away on August 8, 2018, one day after her 86th birthday. Grace was born on August 7th, 1932 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Daniel Melvin Williams and his wife Iris Ann Evans Williams. When she was three her parents moved to northern California where her father found employment at Walker Mine. When the mine closed the family relocated to southern California where Grace would eventually marry Robert Earl Stefan, even though they were both from Los Angeles they met at BYU. Together they had seven children, Juliann (Larry) Johnson, Dawn (Tom) Carver, Yvonne (Richard) Christensen, Daniel Stefan, Gary (Sheereen) Stefan, Kenneth Stefan, Becky (Gene) Brown.
In her later years Grace and Bob moved back to Utah, a place Grace always said felt like home. Grace was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many callings throughout her lifetime. She was a woman with great faith and was loved by all who knew her.
Grace is grandmother of thirty-two and great-grandmother to fifty-four, so far.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, older sister Mary Storms, and her younger brother David Williams.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 18th at 2pm with a viewing one hour prior at the Meadow Green Ward, 752 North 3700 West in Layton, Utah. Interment to follow at Syracuse City Cemetery.
