Grace Lance

Grace Burns Lance peacefully passed away August 16, 2012 of natural causes. She was born July 19, 1918 in Bountiful, the fifth of seven children born to James Edward Burns and Emma May Cooper Burns.
Grace attended schools in Bountiful and graduated from Davis High class of 1936. She then attended LDS Business College. Grace was employed with the Genealogical Dept. of the LDS Church for over 20 years.
Grace was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and an active member of the LDS church. She was an organist in many organizations in the church.
On June 28, 1965 Grace and Seth A. Lance were married in the Salt Lake Temple and then moved to Sacramento, CA. Seth and Grace were missionaries for the Sacramento North Stake from 1965 -1967. Seth passed away June 7, 1982 and Grace returned to Bountiful.
Grace didn’t have any children, but she had twenty-three nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
She is survived by one sister, June Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Seth and brothers and sisters: Florence Searle, James Burns, May Burns, Alan Burns and Carol Reed.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 20, 2012 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a viewing will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
