Grant Carlson

Our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Brother and Uncle passed away peacefully Monday November 14th 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Born May 2nd 1934 to Keith and Viola Carlson. Married Karen Lewis on December 31st 1952 and later sealed in the LDS Temple June 5th 1959. He has three children, Julie, Carol Lee and Wylee. Grant worked alongside brothers, sons, nephews, grandchildren and trusted friends for 50 years as a successful partner of the FOSS LEWIS & SONS Construction Company. Grant was a major part in the construction of many roads, schools, homes, community buildings and public and private golf courses throughout Utah and many surrounding states. Since his retirement in 2000 Grant had many hobbies and interests including: fishing, hunting, horses, woodworking and golf. He most enjoyed time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife, three children, Brother, Nieces, Nephews, ten Grandchildren and thirteen Great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his Father (Keith) and Mother (Viola) His fairness, kindness and compassion will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Friends are asked to join the family in celebration of his life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 21st at the Bountiful LDS North Canyon 3rd ward chapel, 2505 South Davis Blvd., Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, and Monday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment to follow at the Bountiful City Memorial Park, 2224 South 200 West Bountiful, Utah.
