Gregory Keith Holbrook

August 12, 1947 — December 5, 2016

NORTH SALT LAKE – Gregory Keith Holbrook, 69, our beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend passed away December 5, 2016, from heart failure.

He was born August 12, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent his happy youth as the oldest son of four4 children.  His parents were Keith Moss Holbrook and Kolleen Holbrook Johnson. He was a hardworking man and spent many years working in the trucking industry.

Gregory married the love of his life, Barbara Kay on June 9, 1966.  Barbara was the daughter of Lapreal and Woodrow Kay. Barbara and Greg were the proud parents of two children: Travis (Darla) and Kassandra Clarke, both of Syracuse.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kathleen Norton Hinckley, and his wife who passed in 2012.

He is survived by his daughter, Kassandra; son, Travis, (Darla) and six grandchildren, BreAnne, Zachary, Taylor, Brecken, Holly, and Cooper.

Greg loved to read and continued his learning throughout his life.  He collected a large library of the best works and knew the writing style of each author.  Greg always had a positive attitude and was supportive and encouraging of his children and grandchildren.  He loved and enjoyed the beauties of the earth, his garden, hunting, and fishing.

Funeral services will be held at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah,  Friday, December 9, at 11:00 a.m. with interment in the Farmington City Cemetery.  Friends and family may call at the viewing on Thursday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary and on Friday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. prior to the services at 11:00 a.m.
