Guy Emerson Koelling

Devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Guy Emerson Koelling, passed away on April 11, 2023, in Kaysville, Utah, at the age of 62.

Born in Spokane, Washington, on March 26, 1961, Guy lived a fulfilling life of love and service. He married the love of his life, Kristine, on May 4, 1983, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with five children and six grandchildren. He was a devoted son and brother, and his family was always his top priority.

Guy was a man of many talents and interests. He had a passion for reading, evident in his vast collection of books. An avid cook, he was known for his Dutch oven cooking. Additionally, he served on the Utah USA Wrestling Board, supporting young athletes and promoting the sport.

Serving in his church was another love of Guy's life. He was a Bishop for several years, touching the lives of many people in his community. He served a mission in Japan, spending an additional eight years there, sharing his love and dedication with the Japanese people.

Guy's greatest joy in life was his family, whom he loved to support and brag about. He was always there for them, a role model of kindness, generosity, and love.

The memory of Guy Emerson Koelling will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His passing is a great loss, but his legacy of love, service, and devotion will continue to inspire others.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, in the Flint Meadows Ward Chapel, 615 N. Flint Street, Kaysville, Utah. An evening viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2023, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Another viewing will take place from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Saturday prior to services at the church. Interment at Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.
