Gwen died of natural causes surrounded by her daughters and their spouses in the loving home of her granddaughter Alison Langford and Mitchell Johnson where she lived for the last year of her life. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Gwen constantly displayed integrity, compassion and served others with an astute mind. She provided great strength and wisdom in times of challenge for friends and loved ones. She was an excellent seamstress and had a passion for sewing, designing clothing, quilting and various other homemaking activities. She designed and crafted many quilts, wedding and formal gowns including the wedding dresses for her two daughters and the period clothing for Reed Martin’s participation in the 1997 re-enactment of the pioneer trek. Gwen has been a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all of her life, serving in many leadership and teaching callings in the former 28th Ward and Riverside Stake including the organizations of Relief Society and Primary.
