Gwen Oleson Burgin

Gwen Oleson Burgin, age 80, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah.
She was born March 20, 1935 in Ogden, Utah to Orlin R and Lolabell G Oleson. Mom was the fourth of seven children: LaNett, LouJane, Elaine, Gwen, Garner, Lucy, and Isabell.
Mom grew up in West Point, Utah. She was musical, talented, and starred in many school plays. She loved music and shared her talents throughout her life. She graduated from Davis High in 1952 and married Richard H. Burgin in the Logan Temple in 1953. They are the parents of Ann, Wendy, David, Steven, Dixie, Paul, Douglas, and Tricia. They later divorced.
She worked at Carden School in SLC for 20 years, and 15 years at the Church Office Building. She loved 2nd Sundays at her home, doing family history, and being with her 100+ posterity whenever possible.
She is survived by her brother Garner, her sisters LaNett and Isabell, and her 8 children and their families.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24th at 11am in the Roland Way LDS Church at 610 N. Roland Way in Centerville. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 23rd from 6-8 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 295 N. Main in Bountiful, and at the church Thursday 9:30-10:45 prior to the service. Interment will be at the West Point Cemetery.
