Biography

Hal Neil Harrison passed on September 25, 2012 in his home surrounded by his family.
Dad was born on July 29, 1930 to Harold James Harrison and Blanche McNeil in Bountiful, UT. He was the second of their four children.
Dad graduated from Davis High School. He enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean Conflict. Most of his time was spent serving in the building corps in Japan. After being released from military service, Dad returned home to Bountiful. There he resumed working with his father as a brick mason. In 1957, he began his own construction company, Hal N. Harrison Construction. During his years as a builder, he built over 1,000 homes in south Davis County. In 1970, Dad started Harrison International Inc. Later, he founded Crestware Manufacturing. Both companies imported products. He traveled the world over for many years building up these companies.
Dad served on the Growers Market Company Board of Directors for a number of years. He purchased and operated Porte Publishing for a number of years. He owned and operated the West Bountiful Golf Course for a period of time.
He served in five Bishoprics, as a Stake High Councilman, and in the Stake Young Men’s Presidency.
Dad is survived by his wife of 58 years Marion Smedley Harrison and their children: Linda Thomas, Julie Jackson (Ron), Jeff Harrison (Cheryl), Ann Taylor, Greg Harrison, Adam Harrison, Nate Harrison (Hanna) and Kathy Slater (Bruce). He is further survived by his 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, his brother, Brent Harrison. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold James Harrison and Blanche McNeil Harrison,
his sister, LaRue Harrison White, and brother, Shirl Harrison
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Bountiful Canyon Park Ward, 1190 East Bountiful Hills Drive, Bountiful UT. Friends and Family may visit Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Bountiful UT, or Saturday, 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Missionary or Perpetual Education Fund.

Friends and Family may visit Friday, September 28, 2012 from 5:00-7:00 p.m., at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Bountiful UT, or Saturday, 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment will be at the Lakeview Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Missionary or Perpetual Education Fund.
