Harold Wright

“Our father and grandfather, Harold B Wright, 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. He was born September 13, 1919 in Payson, Utah, a son of Charles H and Ida May Davis Wright. He graduated from Pocatello High School in 1937. During World War II, he served in the US Army in the Philippines. He retired after more than 40 years working at Phillips Petroleum. Dad was proud of his pilot license and enjoyed flying single prop airplanes, working around his house, and spending time with his family. He married Dona Hancock on March 11, 1938. They had 61 years together before she passed away. He is survived by his daughter Barbara (Wally) Crook and son Michael (Kathy) Wright. He had 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Thora Harris and two brothers Charles Leland Wright and Lloyd Davis Wright, as well as two grandchildren, Teresa Wright and Steven Crook. Friends and family may visit on Saturday, November 12 from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 295 North Main Street in Bountiful, Utah. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery with military honors.”
