Harvey Robert Sessions
“Strash”
1928 – 2012

Our beloved Dad, Grandpa, Great/Great-great grandpa, and friend, Robert “Bob” Sessions, passed away December 10, 2012 in Bountiful, Utah of complications related to a stroke.
Bob was born in SLC, Ut on April 29, 1928 to parents Harvey Sessions, Jr. and Edrie Muriel Foster Sessions. He married LaRue Haslam March 27, 1948. LaRue passed away June 15, 2000.
When he was a young man, Bob was nicknamed “Strash” by his best friend Clyde Haslam and the name stuck. Bob took over the family business started by his father “H. Sessions and Sons Asphalt & Paving”, which later became Quality Asphalt. He was very well-liked and respected in the asphalt business.
Bob enjoyed the outdoors. When his children were younger, he could be found on the road with his camper and boat headed to Bear Lake. Wonderful times were spent there with family and friends. He was on several bowling leagues with LaRue over the years. He enjoyed dancing to big band era/country music with LaRue and both daughters. He loved his home in Tabiona where he’d take his sweetheart Veline Elliott almost every weekend each summer. Each weekend on the drive to Tabby he would tell Veline the story of all his grandkids in the back seat to “go faster Grandpa” on the steps to Tabiona. Bob had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to tease.
“His cup runneth over” with grandkids, great & great-great grandkids! Each one was special to him and he made sure they knew it.
His is survived by his children: Randy (Jan), Carol (Doug), Brad (Carol), and Ann (Kim).
Graveside services will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West. A viewing will be held for family and friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main prior to graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Humane Society of Utah, in the name of Bob Sessions.
