Helen Harding Browning (97) passed away peacefully at home March 29, 2017. She was born November 28, 1919 in Provo, Utah to Cleon A. and Ethel L. Harding. She married Clifton Myron Browning, August 17, 1945 in Salt Lake City, Utah. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Helen met Clif during World War II while she worked at the Ogden Arsenal and Hill Air Force Base where she worked on instrument panels and installed wing cameras on fighter planes. Helen was devoted to her husband and children and loved being a homemaker. She created delicious meals, enjoyed sewing, and making a happy home. For many years, Helen was a great support for Clif at Browning Freight Lines, Inc. She had many hobbies and particularly enjoyed playing golf. In fact, she instigated the love of golf in the family. She also loved flowers and gardening. Her love of nature carried over in the many beautiful paintings she created throughout the years. She served in various LDS Church callings and especially enjoyed working with the Special Needs Primary. Serving with Clif on two leadership/proselyting missions in the Canada Vancouver Mission were highlights in her life. She had an unwavering lifelong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Helen is survived by her daughter, Carolynn (Mike) Christensen; Randy (Marty) Browning; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Browning; and Brian (Jane) Browning; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; brothers, Reed and Robert Harding. Preceded in death by her husband, Clifton; sons, Robert and Bradley; parents; brothers, Van, Merrill, Richard, and Ralph Harding.
A memorial service will be held for Helen on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bountiful Woodland Hills LDS Ward Building, 640 So. 750 E., Bountiful, Utah, where a viewing will be held Friday evening prior to the services from 6:00-7:15 p.m. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com
