Helen Hill

Helen LaVoy Hill beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed quietly through the veil on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the age of 84.
LaVoy was born in Salt Lake City on May 26, 1928 to Helen Wyatta Lewis and David Garrett Lewis. She graduated from West High School in 1945.
LaVoy married Stanley J. Hill October 7, 1947 following his return from Europe where he served his country in WWII. LaVoy and Stan were sealed in marriage October 4, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. The proud mother of 3, Helen retired from Mountain Bell/Qwest after many years of service. Helen was an accomplished piano player learning from the age of 3. She loved gardening, flowers, crochet, needlework, reading, ceramics, and a countless number of hobbies.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, Stan Hill.
She is survived by her brother, David J. Lewis (Virginia), daughter, Susan Nelson; sons, Ron (Margo) Hill, Dave (Dana) Hill; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. LaVoy will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Ut., where a viewing will be held 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
