Farmington, Utah- Our beloved and adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Helen Blenda Hampshire Jensen passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the age of 99 on February 24, 2015. She was born October 27, 1915 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the daughter of William and Maude Hampshire. Helen married Ellsworth Jensen on November 13, 1936. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. She remained an active member of the LDS Church, serving in many callings throughout her life.
After graduating from South High School, Helen pursued her dreams as a professional dancer, where she traveled across the Western United States. She later settled in Bountiful and was employed by Farmers State Bank as a personal banker for many years, where she made many long lasting friendships. Helen’s wisdom and talents were only a few of her many attributes. Her passions included making beautiful porcelain dolls, knitting, crocheting and she was the GREATEST seamstress ever!
Helen is survived by her daughter, Dianne (Steven) Clark; 7 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren;14 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Billie Abatto and Mary Behrens. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughters Barbara J. Pace and Joanne C. Jensen; grandson Gary Pace; great-grandson Bryce Pace; great-great-grandson Owen Pace; sisters Winifred Robinson and Donna Ericson; and brother Charles Hampshire.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where friends and family may call from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
