Helen Marie Loesch, born March 19, 1922 on Staten Island, New York to George Loesch and Josephine Olsen passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Farmington, UT on June 13, 2013 at the age of 91. Helen, while in Jr. High School and High School had home bound teachers because of severe asthma. Following her graduation from High School she studied to be a radiology technician going to night school in Manhattan. After graduating from her training course she worked at Seaview Hospital on Staten Island taking x-rays of TB patients which was a TB sanitarium. With her history of asthma and lung problems her father George was surprised she would go work in a TB hospital but Helen persevered and honed her skills as a Radiologic Technician. Helen then worked at St. Vincents Hospital which closed and the she went to a government hospital in Albany, New York she then came back and worked at a hospital in East Orange, New Jersey to be near her nephews, David and Skipper. A friend that she had met in a previous employment offered her a job at the US Public Health Hospital in Staten Island; she was able to obtain her Radiologic Technician Certification and was placed in charge of the Radiology Tech School at the Public Health Hospital where she worked until she retired.
Helen has previously lived in St. Petersburg, FL before re-locating to Utah. Helen lived a full life and traveled extensively to Europe and her favorite trip was to Mexico in 1952. Helen was preceded in death by her parents George F. Loesch and Josephine Olsen and her brother George F. Loesch Jr. She is survived by her nephews George F. (Skipper) & Lori Loesch III and David Warden & Stephanie Loesch and her Sister-in-law Marion Loesch as well as several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Viewing for Helen will be Monday June 17th at Russon Brothers Mortuary at 1941 North Main in Farmington, UT, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM and interment will be Thursday, June 20th at Ocean view Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY.
