Helen Oyler Johnson returned home to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, July 12, 2015. She died of natural causes. She was met with open arms by her husband, Lyle Filbrun Johnson, her daughter, Marilyn Johnson Walker, her son, Douglas Paul Johnson, her mother and father, brother and sisters, a grandson, great-grand daughter, and many others who love her. She was born on May 5, 1926, in Garland, Utah to Leah Rogers Oyler and Leroy Oyler, Sr. Helen was raised in East Garland, Utah. She was the third of five children. Helen was a cheerleader at Bear River High School and was an avid golfer. She married Lyle Filbrun Johnson on September 13, 1943; later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on September 12, 1958 . Together they had four children, Robert (Shirlee) Johnson, Marilyn (deceased) (Steve) Walker, Douglas Paul Johnson (deceased), and Roger Brian Johnson. Helen is survived by her brother, Roger (Rosie) Oyler, her sons, Robert and Roger, 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grand children who were the love of her life. She was the greatest mother and grandmother a person could ever hope for, and she was loved and adored by her family, friends, associates, and all who knew her. She was always classy and sophisticated, and was an example to all she met. She worked as the manager of the payroll department of First Security Bank. She was an active member of the LDS Church.
Helen was a kind and generous woman, and did all that she could to help make the world a better place. She will be greatly missed. We love you mom, and will forever be grateful for the woman you were.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the Bountiful City Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah. There will be a viewing at Russon Brothers Mortuary located at 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2015. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery.
