Helen Aulene Vinson, known affectionately as "Aulene" to many, peacefully passed away July 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She left behind a legacy of love, faith, and family. A devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Helen instilled the values of love for our Heavenly Father and Savior in her children.
Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, TJ, daughter Sharon, sisters Billie, Betty, and Lois, as well as her parents Jennie and Elton. She is survived by her sons Richard and Mark, daughter Penny, their spouses, 18 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren, who were her greatest joy.
Family was the cornerstone of Helen's life. She believed in the power of love and kindness, and she worked tirelessly to foster close relationships among her children and extended family. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the aroma of love.
Helen's circle of friends held a special place in her heart. She cherished both lifelong friendships and new connections, always eager to share stories and laughter with those she held dear.
For over a decade, Helen resided at Rose Cove Apartments, where she found joy in the company of many friends, her sister Billie, and her grandson, Jason. The friendships she cultivated there brought her great happiness, and she looked forward to each day spent in their company.
An avid bowler, Helen found delight in the sport and the camaraderie it brought. Whether competing in leagues or embarking on bowling adventures with friends and her sweetheart, she created lasting memories filled with joy.
Bingo was another of Helen's passions, one that she shared with friends at Rose Cove and with her family during gatherings. Her enthusiasm for the game was infectious, and her laughter filled the room whenever she played.
At an early age, she developed a strong love for reading when her sweet mother would read to her every night. Her favorite of course, were the scriptures. She read them nightly before her prayers.
In her leisure time, Helen found solace in quilting, playing cards with her family, and cheering on the Utah Jazz as well as teams in the World Series. Yet, above all else, she treasured moments spent surrounded by her family.
As we grieve the loss of Helen, we find great comfort in the knowledge that she has reunited with her beloved husband, daughter, as well as other family and friends who passed before her. Her memory will endure in the hearts of all who knew her, a testament to the love, kindness, faith, and joy she brought into the world.
Mom, we will miss you deeply. Your legacy of love and devotion will continue to shine through all of us.
