On July 13, 2019 our beloved mother and Oma – Ingrid Resi Ruth Bendler Broughton left this earth for a glorious reunion with her loved ones. She was born on May 2, 1926 in Berlin, Germany to Otto Bendler and Emma Maria Knitsch. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Germany from 1945 – 1948 and was a faithful member of the church all of her life. Ingrid emigrated to the United States in 1954 and was proud to become a citizen. Married John Broughton, later divorced. Ingrid was an adventurous person who was never afraid to try new things. She loved the sunshine, gardening, and spending time in the mountains. She was passionate about traveling the world, temple service, and her family. She dedicated her life to her family and others, and later served a church mission to assist visitors with their genealogy.
Ingrid leaves behind her daughters: Tracy (Jeff) Preslar, and Shelly (John) DaRonche, and a son, Kevin (Karin) Broughton, nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her son, Kermit Broughton. A viewing will be held on July 19, 2019 at 10:00 am to 10:45 am with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am. at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main, Farmington, Utah. Interment will be at Wastach Lawn Memorial, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the hospice and care staff at Chancellor Gardens where mom received such excellent care the last months of her life.
