Irma Lorraine Rasmussen Hailes

1927 ~ 2016

Irma passed away peacefully on Sept. 30, 2016. She has spent the last 5 years at Country Oaks Care Center in Bountiful and under the care of Adagio Hospice.  Both of which have earned the family’s deep and unconditional gratitude.  

Irma was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  She was a great example of faith.  Her testimony was strong and never wavered.  She loved the temple and enjoyed going there. She was employed by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and enjoyed working with general presidencies and general authorities.  Upon retirement she served at the Conference Center as a guide. With her husband Donald, they served a church mission in San Diego. She sang with the Allegro Chorus for years and worked with the Freedoms Foundation.  

Irma was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hailes, son, Gerald Hailes, son-in-law, Hugh J. Davis, mother and father, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her daughter Karen, son Reed (Susie), 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.  She loved her family very much.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at the West Bountiful 1st Ward, 311 North 800 West.  A viewing will be held Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Wednesday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
