IvaLee Duffin Egan

IvaLee Duffin Egan, age 91, passed away on November 4, 2023.

IvaLee was born to Ivan John Duffin and Eva May McAllister Duffin on March 24, 1932, in Richfield, Utah, and was raised in Draper, Utah. She graduated from Jordan High School and then moved to the Big City of Salt Lake where she roomed with many great friends and had lots of wonderful experiences.

It was during this time that she had the opportunity of singing with the U of U Summer Festival Chorus for 6 years. All her life she used the talent the Lord gave her to sing for many church and community functions.

IvaLee served a mission in the great state of Texas and, when she returned home, she rekindled her friendship with Paul Howard Egan. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on October 12, 1959. Together they raised two children, John Bradley and Stephanie Lee.

IvaLee served in many callings in the LDS church. She loved the time she served as Ward and then Stake Relief Society President, but her favorite was all the years she served as chorister in Sacrament meetings. IvaLee and her husband Paul were called to serve as senior missionaries in the Chicago North Mission. They also served as temple workers in the Bountiful Temple.

IvaLee worked for the telephone company for 25 years and Lakeview Hospital for 7 years and, along with her sweetheart, volunteered there for 20 years.

IvaLee is survived by her children and 5 grandchildren, Austin, Brandon, Alicia, Weston and Zachary, and her sister Pat Petersen. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, her parents and her sister Debra, and her Egan in-laws.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the Bountiful 26th Ward Chapel, 200 North 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. An evening viewing will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street in Bountiful. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment at Memorial Lakeview Cemetery, 1640 E. Lakeview Drive in Bountiful.
